J.K. Tyl Theater
The J.K. Tyl Theater was established in 1902 in Plzeň, Czech Republic. It has four artistic companies that produce about 600 shows per year, with a repertoire offering drama, opera, operetta, musicals and ballet, mixing classical titles with original new productions. Apart from its theater productions, the J.K. Tyl Theater offers other interesting events and exhibitions closely connected to performing arts. It is also registered on Europe’s cultural map as the site of the International Theater Festival, its first season dating back to 1993.
