Hunger
A hungry body can be saved by eating, but what is there to do when the soul is hungry? A starved, searching and conflicted body gradually takes over and enslaves us, absorbs us, and when we don't satisfy it, it begins to eat us from the inside. Loosely inspired by the eponymous, partly autobiographical novel by Norwegian Nobel Prize-winning writer Knut Hamsun, this production presents and analyses the concept of hunger not only in terms of its physical nature, but also as a growing phenomenon of our time - a symbol of a man painfully feeling his emptiness and hungering for meaning, who tries to fill this emptiness and satiate his hunger in every possible way.
