A Swan Lake
“A Swan Lake”, choreographed by award winning and internationally acclaimed Alexander Ekman, lies at the confluence between stage play and ballet. Ekman’s intention to create “something big and wild and different” transpires throughout the entire performance. Norwegian National Ballet dancers are joined on stage by actors, a soprano, the Norwegian National Opera Orchestra, 1,000 rubber ducks and 5,000 liters of water, serving both as backdrop and musical instrument. This production is complemented by excerpts from Tchaikovsky’s beloved score and music by Swedish composer Mikael Karlsson.
