Coppelia
The Víctor Ullate Ballet in Madrid brings a reinterpreted version of the internationally performed classic, this time choreographed by Eduardo Lao – winner of the Performing Arts 2012 Public Award, who brings his artistic vision to successful completion through his company of 23 talented and versatile dancers. “Coppelia” follows the story of Doctor Coppelius in his attempt to create a female android that acts humanlike. Transporting the classic work into modern times, this performance is set against a futuristic backdrop and complemented by the original score written by Léo Delibes.
