Studio G

Ostrava Drama Theater was founded in 2019 and continued the work of the Old Arena. Marek David and Pavel Gejguš are the main directors, focusing mainly on original theater, but also staging classical and contemporary plays. Actors and students from all Ostrava theaters and the Janáček Conservatory of Music and Dramatic Arts perform in Studio G, gaining valuable experience during their studies. The start of Studio G was marked by the pandemic yet, even in such challenging times, the creative team managed to rehearse a number of productions, which they gradually presented to the audience.
