The play "WC" is based on Brigitte Schwaiger's "Little Chamber Play," an Austrian playwright. In this play, two women find themselves confined in a closed ladies' room by chance, embarking on a complex and unexpected journey of purification and enlightenment. It's a unique psychoanalytic session, reminiscent of the effect of unexpectedly emptying a woman's handbag in a crowd: while its owner crawls on the ground, hastily dealing with the aftermath of a catastrophe, your gaze manages to spot some intriguing details. The performance invites the audience to engage in a discussion about family values and the perception of the widely known "three Ks" (Kinder, Küche, Kirche) moral imperative prevalent in Austria (and beyond), which implies that women are primarily associated with church, kitchen, and children.
