A Year in the Village
A year passes through the Czech village of Habrůvka, from feast to harvest. The time of sowing, ripening and harvesting does not only concern nature, but also human destinies. Based on the Mrštík brothers’ writing, Miroslav Krobot very suggestively dramatizes their novel in a beautiful staging at the Palmovka Theater. The chronicle of Moravian village life becomes a compelling drama about love and the helplessness of those who love.
